Together we can make a difference......
Chernobyl 2000 is working on a number of projects currently and below are a few we would appreciate your feedback on. Community Projects - Belarus (planned for Summer 2008) We
intend to take a coach full of volunteers to Belarus next
summer to take part in various community improvement
projects. These could range from painting to helping set
up equipment delivered in the previous convoy to
information gathering for items required in future
convoys. Each volunteer will need to raise enough money to cover their travel expenses plus a sum which will go towards the recuperative UK visits we plan to run in August 2008.(Sum TBC) This would particularly suit students who want to experience new cultures and get some hands on experience working within a community to make life better. Certificates will be awarded on completion of your project to show what you have accomplished. Once the project is complete there will also be time to get in some sight seeing in the beautiful capital city of Minsk before coming home having had a great life experience.
Anyone who feels they may be interested in taking part please contact us for more information and we will be in touch. |
UK recuperative trip
planned for August 2008 We intend to bring a group of children from the Uzda Music School on a recuperative trip to the UK. Four weeks in the UK can add 2 years to a child's life. Whilst they are here we are planning for them to take part in the Worcester Music Festival and would welcome suggestions of any other events they may be able to get involved in to make their stay as memorable as possible. Anyone who has any suggestions, please contact Mike (contact us) Funding these trips are obviously expensive and anyone who feels they would like to help us with a donation, please visit our donate now page and click on our recuperative trip fund. |
Chernobyl 2000 Corporate projects ongoing We are looking to get businesses involved in the activities of the charity in order to facilitate their need for training and development of skills such as team building, leadership and problem solving for their employees.. With all the challenges faced by the charity, we feel we could offer a diverse programme to enhance the employees development in return for a donation to the charity.. Employees could be faced with the challenge of collecting specific items to take on the aid convoys, raising enough funds for a convoy vehicle or using their negotiating skills to get free services for the charity. Any business who would be interested in discussing the programmes we feel we can offer, please contact us. Also if there are any companies who offer development packages to businesses who feel they could use our Charity and its structure as part of their programmes, please contact Sallie (Contact us) to discuss in more detail. |
